Taking place on Friday, 25 August at 2pm – 5pm, the JCI Designing for Safety and Quality Patient Care Workshop will be hosted by:
The workshop would review the key elements for designing healthcare facilities that will support the safety and quality goals of Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation.
The session would also discuss the new requirements of the 6th Edition Hospital Standards and address the expanded focus from Prevention and Control of Infections to Facilities Management and Safety. To help attendees understand and conduct a preconstruction risk assessment beyond infection control, which will look at other hazards that may impact patient care including: air quality, utilities, noise, vibration, hazardous materials, and emergency services. The session would help attendees understand the risks associated with construction and how these risks can be mitigated

While in Manila, a tour will be arranged to bring delegates to visit the the top two hospitals in the area. This is to provide insights into how these private and public hospitals in Manila operate and get familiarised with their services and facilities. The tour will be on Friday, 25 August.
