Dr David Sun
Hospital Chief Executive, North District Hospital (Hong Kong)
Dr David SUN is currently the Hospital Chief Executive of North District Hospital (NDH), Hong Kong.
David is a Neurosurgeon by background. He received his Spine Clinical Fellowship training in Toronto Western Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada in 2001 and obtained Master degree of Public Health in Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011.
Apart from being the Neurosurgeon-in-charge in North District Hospital, David was also serving as Assistant to Hospital Chief Executive of NDH and Deputy Service Director (Quality and Safety) of New Territories East Cluster (NTEC) until 2016, when he started full time administrative role as Deputy Hospital Chief Executive of Princess Margaret Hospital and North Lantau Hospital.
In May 2018, David joined NTEC again. Being now the Hospital Chief Executive of NDH, his major tasks include the steering of the Expansion Project for the hospital, and coordinating the Surgical service and Mental Health service for the cluster. He is also interested in areas including improving patient flow / experience and enhancing safe practice in healthcare service.
