Mr. Rahman obtained his MBA from Manarat International University (MIU) Bangladesh, “Post-graduation (Masters)” from National University, Bangladesh, “Diploma in Medical Record Technology” from Global Institutes of Medical Science, India, Medical Information Management Program from Penn Foster Career School, USA, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Course from IHI, USA. Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. CPHQ Certification Course (in progress).
He is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, controlling and creating the administration, management and operational application of the patient clinical information system in Hospital. This includes oversight of clinical, legal, administrative and financial documentation. He works closely with the relevant stake holders to develop policies and procedures, guidelines, work instructions in order to comply with Joint Commission International (JCI) Standards and Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations.
He has participated in the initial installation and subsequent maintenance of JCI Standards in hospitals in Bangladesh and Vietnam.
He is a trained Medical Health Records Administrator with 15 years of experience managing clinical documentation and information in hospitals across multiple continents. Before joining FV Hospital, he was associated with Apollo Hospitals Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is EMR/Medical Records- PGA Associate Consultant and Trainer at Phoenix Global Academy, USA.
He is an active member of the International Federation of the Health Information Management Association (IFHIMA), the Pacific Health Information Network (PHIN) and the Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN).
